Estate Planning

Your Goals - Your Plan - Your Future

Estate planning and elder law have been the focus of my practice for years. I feel that your estate plan should truly be "Yours" and does not have to be like any other. Your goals are unique - your vision of the future is unique. I work with clients to ensure that these factors are paramount in  every estate plan.

I help clients avoid probate, avoid guardianship, plan for their own disability, and plan for those they love.

Long-Term Care Planning - Medicaid Planning

Experienced Counsel

Long-Term Care expenses can be devastating to any estate plan. I can help you plan for the future - and address concerns related to long-term care.

A comprehensive long-term care plan will address more than just the ways to pay for long-term care. I work with families to ensure that their loved one receives the care that they need in the least-restrictive environment possible, that ensures personal dignity.

I guide families through the Medicaid and VA Aid-and Attendance process, and integrate these considerations into an overall comprehensive estate plan when appropriate.

I work with families in reviewing, creating, and implementing long-term care plans. Your plan is as individualized as you and your loved ones are.

Incapacity Planning and Guardianship

Representing With Respect

Incapacity can impact all of us, however, not adequately planning for it can cause significant hardship. I help clients prepare for the future, including planning for the "what-ifs." Oftentimes, the worst plan is not having a plan at all. I can help you plan for incapacity, and devise ways to avoid Guardianship. However, sometimes a Guardianship becomes necessary.

I have extensive experience in representing guardians before the Probate Court.

Contact me to discuss planning for the "what-ifs" or to discuss guardianship.

Probate Estate & Trust Administration

Navigating You Through Difficult Times

Some of the most difficult times are after the loss of a loved one.  Wrapping up the affairs of a lost loved one is difficult, yet necessary.

My office assists trustees and executors administer the estate and to follow the plan that was put in place, or as is the default by Ohio law.

I help families and fiduciaries (trustees/administrators/executors) carry out their duties that oftentimes appear to be daunting and confusing.
